Rachel George is a video producer and visual storyteller. After freelancing in Ecuador and Peru as a one-woman videographer, she worked for nearly a decade as a producer/director at a production company in Washington, DC before moving into conservation film and independent video storytelling. She spent 2024 working with a Little Penguin conservation group on the South Island of New Zealand, and now is based in Washington, DC as a freelance filmmaker, specializing in storytelling for mission-driven brands.
Outside of work, from 2016 to 2019, she served as the Communications Director of Rising Organizers, a completely volunteer-run nonprofit that offers free trainings in community organizing. She is currently an organizer with the DC chapter of Video Consortium, a community for nonfiction filmmakers.
Rachel is drawn to stories for justice, equity, and love of our natural world. (And rock climbing. Anything rock climbing.)
