“An Imperfect Union”
Facebook Watch
An Imperfect Union
In collaboration with journalists from TEGNA, I served as the head producer on Green Buzz’s first weekly Facebook Watch series, An Imperfect Union. Each episode brings together two people with opposing views on different topics to talk about their values and work together on a service project in their community.

This project was new to Green Buzz in that it was the largest serial documentary show we had ever produced, and our first show for Facebook Watch. In my role as the head producer, I created a new infrastructure for coordinating crew and content within 1-2 weeks’ notice across the United States in over 16 states and 27 cities, and worked closely with the post-production team to set up a system that allowed for sustainable quick-turn editing of each episode on strict delivery deadlines for both TEGNA and Facebook Watch.
I personally field produced one-third of the total 40 episodes filmed over the course of the year, covering topics such as the impact of a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border, consequences and goals of gun control bills in Colorado, and impact of restrictive abortion laws in Georgia. When I was not on set myself, I managed our team of producers, assistant producers and shooters on production, serving as the primary off-site contact for troubleshooting and logistics.
